FINALLY, A GREAT PRINTER THAT WORKS
I had been fighting to get three HP printers to work. The 1st worked for six months or so and then it died. So, I bought another of the same printer. Worked for a few months and all of a sudden I am getting messages that my HP print cartridges weren’t authorized to be used in my machine. Yes, I was usingT genuine new HP print cartridges, not to mention the excessively expensive cost for the cartridges. An XL size color and black cartridge combined cost nearly $80. I would like to total up just how much I spent on ink cartridges that I couldn’t use! Finally, tried one more different HP printer and I could never get it to connect wirelessly. I updated my drivers and the printer just refused to connect to the internet. Enter the Epson ET-2800. I set up the machine by watching an excellent video on this printer and I was connected to the internet on the first try. Then, I also connected my phone to the printer on the 1st try! I was ecstatic I once again, had a working printer! One thing additionally that I love about this printer is the ink tank system. Super easy to load the ink and this ink system is MUCH, MUCH cheaper to operate. I’ll never go back to expensive ink cartridges again! This printer is not cheap at $199.00, but I imagine when it comes to printers, you get what you pay for. For me, products must be reliable and intuitive to use. I can say without reservation that the Epson ET-2800 is the answer to fixing my printer issues and I can highly recommend it!

It works! Prints and scans well.
I was a long time customer of HP’s program where they supply the ink for your printer when it runs low. That worked ok, I had a couple of printer failures along the way but the system worked until two weeks ago when HP’s system refused to recognize their own printer after three years of use. Could not get it to reconnect and if you aren’t connected you can’t print with the chip enabled HP printer cartridges. So dumped it and thought I’d try the Epson ‘fill and chill’ world. Setup was pretty easy, everything got connected ok and so far the printing and scanning has gone well. I like the idea of ink tanks instead of cartridges, but will have to see how long it lasts. The touch screen is tiny, but it works. So far, so good, happy customer at the price paid.

I’m blown away
I mostly print recipes & some pictures & am restricted by having to purchase a printer that is Chrome compatible. After owning 2 Canon Pixma printers, I decided to try something different. I was pleased that the footprint is smaller than the Canons. It has been working great. My daughter came to visit & work on her dissertation. Of course, she needed to use my printer. She loaded the drivers easily to her Apple laptop & printed page after page after page. The ink level barely moved. The screen is difficult to read. It shows to press certain buttons, but you can’t tell which one. Other than that, I have been very pleased & look forward to using it for some time. Oh no, the daughter is coming back!

WOW! This printer has been pretty impressive thus far
My old printer broke (sooner than I would have liked) so I did A LOT of research before deciding to buy this Epson EcoTank printer for home office use. This is my honest review of it this far and I will definitely update my review if I run into any issues.So far, this printer has been pretty impressive (I’ve been using it for about a month). The price was pretty average for a printer… but I personally think all printers are overpriced so it was a bit more than I would have liked to spend. It is smaller and more lightweight than I was expecting which is a plus because it takes up less desk space than my previous HP printer.It is very easy to set up, comes with step-by-step easy instructions and guided instructions through the app. It only took me about 10 minutes (Mostly just waiting for the printer to initialize on its own). It is very easy and surprisingly satisfying to fill the ink tank. I like the idea that this ink might last longer than traditional cartridges and won’t have as much plastic waste that went along with my old HP Inkjet.I have printed plain black and white documents as well as photos. I print all my photos at home, which is most of the printing that I do, so quality was important to me. The photos came out with pretty good quality! No ink smudges or off colors, colors are bright/vivid, and it is easy to modify what paper you’re using with automatic prompts on the printer.Now for the negatives and the reason I’m giving this 4 stars… app to printer connection issues. This was a big issue with my old printer as well. I’m pretty tech savvy and I just have no idea why this is still always an issue for me. There is an extra Epson app that you are supposed to download for printing. Sometimes it can find my printer, sometimes it can’t. Sometimes it gives me printer errors or won’t let me print documents. And now every time I go to print something it says the paper being used doesn’t match the paper settings so I have to bypass that error message (even though it does match in settings and the app, and this happens for both regular paper and photo paper). I’ve turned everything off and back on again, but the issues with consistent connection and error messages are still an issue.Usually with some fiddling around, I can get the documents/pictures to print but sometimes it feels like I’m jumping through unnecessary hoops. I’m still working out the kinks so if I find some magic solution I’ll update my review. Considering this is an issue with most home printers I’ve used, it’s not a deal breaker.All in all, if you are looking for a new home printer, I would definitely recommend this one. The quality has been great for me and I am pleased with my purchase (so far).Hope this helps!

Printers seem to be the most problematic units I have used. The failure rate is the highest of any IT equipment I have. After reading reviews, I decided to switch from another brand to Epson.It arrived promptly, as only Amazon can do, well packaged and protected from clumsy handlers.It was simple to unpack, strip adhesive tape on movable parts and start it. The printed instructions were straightforward. I found pouring ink into the unit’s tanks more promising than cartridges. The process was simple and easy, without a handful of plastic wrap left over. as with cartridges. I have added more ink since I bought the unit, and it’s very simple – no spillage or mess. Additionally, the ink is less expensive than the cartridges I used on my past printer and holds more ink,The setup was simple as well -with one proviso. The included CD dropped the needed software onto my desktop; I loaded the paper and had my first print. There were a couple of illegible lines on the test print, so following the written instructions, I cleaned the ink heads, which fixed that.This brings me to the “Proviso”. The integral screen that provides information and direction for various actions by the printer is tiny- 1-inch square. To read the information/directions I had to get down on my hands and knees. Bad eyes I guess, or bad placement ( under my desk) but the screen is still very small.The print quality is 1st class, and I am very satisfied with the glossy, colour-accurate photographs it produces, as well as day-to-day B&W and other basic colour prints.The Wifi connection to my computer was automatic.For the price, quality and function, I think it’s a good buy, notwithstanding the small screen.

Just got this and the setup was a breeze using Wi-Fi and following the instructions. Ink tanks are filled to capacity using the supplied tanks and barely used any ink during the setup process. Haven’t printed pictures yet but print quality seems respectable with regular paper so far. Built quality is not the highest and one will have to handle the tray and feeder with care to prevent breakage. Remote printing using Epson Connect works fine. Overall, considering the sale price of 229 it is a good purchase for the money.

After decades of TERRIBLE printers and a great deal of research, recently, I decided to finally purchase this printer. I got it when it was on sale for $100 off. I was cautiously optimistic when it arrived and after the first print job – I wasnât entirely impressed until I realized Iâd printed on the wrong setting. Once Iâd realized – I was the problem, and changed the setting, I realized this is the best purchase Iâve made in years! This printer is reasonably small, easy to set up and incredibly economical. The ink lasts FOREVER. Iâve been printing full colour photographs and school projects for my child. Itâs barely made a dent in the ink. All printers Iâve ever used before this had tiny cartridges that would run out after just a few prints. With colour – even fewer. No more! I HIGHLY recommend this amazing product. I can easily see it working for a small business or crafter. Printing photographs does take several minutes each, but when you see the quality of the prints – itâs completely worth it.
